Ruth Ann’s House (RAH) is a transitional communal housing program in Port Clinton, Ohio. RAH's mission is to provide residency and supportive services to women and their children who have escaped an abusive situation. We serve up to six women and their children at one time. Families may stay at RAH for up to two years while focusing on a self-directed plan to address their personal goals. When a waiting list occurs, applicants are prioritized for their safety. Anyone in serious or immediate danger will be referred to a domestic violence shelter.
Our primary goal is to empower women and their families to transition and sustain their permanent and safe housing. RAH provides a variety of self-development and career development sessions, support groups, and nutrition and independent living classes. You do not have to remain a resident of RAH to continue with all groups and support.
